Navigation in DGELE

Navigation in e-learning environment and docking blocks

You can resize the browser with Ctrl+ and Ctrl- as they both seem to work in any browser for increasing and decreasing the page zoom on the fly.

Breadcrumbs can help you move easily around lots of different websites--including Moodle!

Look at the top left corner of this page. You should see something like this:

This trail of words is called a breadcrumb trail. It's usually in the top left corner of the screen. Do you know the story of Hansel and Gretel and how they left a trail of breadcrumbs so they could find their way home?
Breadcrumb trails on websites work the same way. They are a trail you can use to follow back to where you first started. If you click the title of your course in the breadcrumb trail, it will bring you back to the main course home page. If you click Home, it will bring you back to the front page.

The DGELE header includes a navigation path on the right. It starts with My home and continues according to the contents on the course page that you have selected. You can always use the navigation path for returning to the course page or My home page. The same functionalities are in the block Navigation which includes links to: My home, Site pages,My profile and My courses, as well as links to their contents. Via these links you are able to navigate in DGELE.

By default, there are blocks on the left and right side of course areas in DGELE. You can dock them to the side bar on the left by clicking on the small grey square in the upper right corner of each block.

You can see the contents of the docked blocks by taking the mouse over the block name.

Return the block to the course area by clicking the same grey square in the docked block. Note that docking the blocks is a personal setting that affects all your course areas in DGE platform without causing any  changes to other users.
